More Than a Paycheck: You're Part of God's Bigger Plan
What if your work is not just about earning a living, but about fulfilling God's mission on earth?
If you're following Jesus, your life is no longer just about surviving or succeeding. You have become part of God's greater story to bring redemption, restoration, and blessing into the world.
Reflection
Minsan iniisip natin na maliit lang ang role natin. Pero sa mata ng Diyos, walang faithful work na walang saysay.
The way you love your spouse, raise your children, serve your customers, or lead your business all become part of God's work. Your children may one day continue the legacy of faith you started. Your employees and their families may experience God's goodness because of how you lead.
Every decision you make either helps build God's Kingdom or contributes to the brokenness that Jesus came to overcome. As Jesus said, the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but He came so that we may have life in all its fullness.
So paano tayo dapat magtrabaho? The Bible says:
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men... because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward." -- (Colossians 3:23-24)
Notice that God doesn't just promise a paycheck. He promises an inheritance. An inheritance belongs to family. It reminds us that we are not merely workers earning wages, we are God's children participating in our Father's work.
Imagine two employees. One works only for a salary. He doesn't care about the company's mission, vision, or future. Basta sumahod, okay na. The other works as if his father owns the company. He treats every task with care because he knows he is building something that belongs to the family.
Sino sa kanila ang mas passionate, mas responsible, at mas committed? Ganito rin ang gusto ng Diyos para sa atin. He doesn't want us to live only from paycheck to paycheck. He invites us to join His mission, to redeem, restore, repair, and spread His love wherever He has placed us.
Call to Action
Imagine what our nation would look like if every entrepreneur believed, "God owns this business. I am only His steward."
How would we treat our employees, customers, suppliers, and communities? Today, don't just ask, "How much will I earn?" Ask instead, "How can my work advance God's purpose today?"
When you work for the Father instead of merely for a paycheck, every task becomes worship, every business becomes a ministry, and every faithful act becomes part of God's eternal plan.
